Ryan's Bed by Tijan - One Million Stars!!!

WOW! There are no words to describe how amazing this book was...PERFECTION 💗 I cried at page 8, I cried again around page 50, and again and again many times later... and here is the thing: I am not a crier. Specially not a book crier. Tijan opened my chest, saw my heart, grabbed it, squeezed it, and than squeezed it again. Ryan's Bed was a masterpiece! Mackenzie is broken, her twin sister just killed herself and life is but a nightmare. Her twin, Willow, was everything to her and the one that excelled at everything. And her little brother Robbie is a genius. But Mac? Mac was always the odd one out. It is wrong she lived and her twin died. It was wrong of her twin to leave her. And to top it all off her family just moved to a new house, a new city. Nothing is as it should be. The day after her twin sister kills herself Mac meets Ryan. She gets lost in his house and instead of finding his sister's bed, she finds his. He doesn't kick her out, he understands her p

Unraveled (Whiskey Sharp #1) by Lauren Dane -3.5/5 Stars [arc review]

Hello Sunnies 🌞 This beautiful New Adult Romance comes out tomorrow, January 30th. Are you ready for it my romance readers? Here is the Blurb: Maybe Dolan has lived independent, free-spirited and unattached since leaving home at sixteen. Whiskey Sharp, Seattle's sexy vintage-styled barbershop and whiskey bar, gave her a job and a reason to put down roots. Cutting hair by day, losing herself drumming in a punk rock band by night, she's got it good. But a longtime crush that turns into a hot, edgy night with brooding and bearded Alexsei Petrov makes it a hell of a lot better. Maybe's blunt attitude and carnal smile hooked Alexsei from the start. Protecting people is part of his nature and Maybe is meant to be his even if she doesn't know it. Yet. He can't help himself from wanting to protect and care for her. But Maybe's fiery independent spirit means pushing back when Alexsei goes too far. Still, he's not afraid to do a little p

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black- 3/5 stars

I am a big fan of Holly Black's work, and I think that is a big part of why this was not a 5 star read for me, I expected better...  Whoever was behind promoting this book did an amazing job, Holly Black was well known (thanks mostly to her work with Cassandra Clare) but not all that popular, at least not on my Instagram circles... Anyway, here is what I have always liked about Holly Black: her stories are original, defy the norm, and are always full of surprise and exciting twists and turns. Her style of writing is poetic, lyrical, and fun! And the worlds she creates are always the most interesting and intriguing.  And it is with all that in mind, all that expectation, that I began reading the Cruel Prince... The start of the story is promising. How many books do you know that begin with a Fae -Madoc- murdering his runaway wife in front of the children? Holly Black has never shied away from gory scenes and I was so glad she was keeping it true to her known style of wr

Dirty by Kylie Scott- 4 stars (audiobook)

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. It had a nice and slow burn sounding romance, a good story, great secondary characters, plenty of passion and drama. The Blurb:  The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her. Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

Immortal Reign by Morgan Rhodes, the end of Falling Kingdoms #6

Falling Kingdoms Books 1 to 6! The end of an era... I wana cry... This is a sad day... For months I waited for this book, and now... now I cannot believe I am about to write the last review for Falling Kingdoms (no spoilers). My heart aches... I will miss my babies tremendously.  All in all, Immortal Reign deserves a solid 5/5 stars, it had a more than satisfying ending. It was another great book by a great writer.  The book had a little bit of everything: a few romances, action, mystery, magic, glimpses of the past, secrets told, and secrets revealed... Immortal Reign The main thing to me is that the story never  stopped. I could not catch a break to breath. There was something going on the whole time. Everyone is possessed in the book by a force or other at some point too. It is crazy. I was honestly starting to suffer from anxiety in my couch 🤣 And that is not a bad thing at all, I very much enjoy books that keep you on your toes like that.  It is hard to say

Faking It (Losing it #2) by Cora Carmack- 5/5 Stars

Faking It, Cora Carmack Hello Sunnies 🌞 Faking it was a LOT better than Losing it . Losing it was good, I gave a 4 star rating after all, but Faking it was a perfect HEA.  It stars off with Cade, Bliss's best friend from Losing it. I really liked him in the first book and although this is a stand alone I do believe the book was as good as it was because we already knew so much about Cade. It helped made the story more rounded. Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and do his master's degree. But he misses Bliss, still aches for her. On top of that his acting career is not really going anywhere.  Max is a crazy girl full of tattoos, piercings, and an angry yet bright personality. She is a struggling musician hiding her true self from her parents in Philadelphia. They have no idea of the kind of life she leaves and most certainly never got to see the art in her body, they don't even know she has them. Max and Cade meet at a coffee shop. Her parents call and t

Frozen Tides (Falling Kingdoms #4) by Morgan Rhodes- 4.75/5 Stars

“If every mortal looked at others as their friends, not as their enemies, the world would be a much better place, wouldn’t it?” Frozen tides... omg the ending... omg the ending... how perfect! I just finished rereading this beauty yesterday and it was just as good the second time around.  A lot happens here again. It is not as fast paced as Gathering Darkness was but it is still a masterpiece. But than you should take that comment with a grain of salt because Gathering Darkness will always have a special place in my heart. It is there that Magnus finally faces his many conflicting emotions and I just adore the man 😃 Literally everyone is fighting for something in Frozen Tides and in desperate search for the kindred. Everyone wants its power for themeslves. Our characters journeys, Cleo, Jonas, Magnus and Lucia is full of bloodshed, hurt, misplaced trust, and love.  So... Magnus and Cleo are off in the north castle where Magnus gets to be in-charged. Not that Cleo

Morgan Rhodes tells us her Inspiration for Magnus Damora in Falling Kingdoms!

Immortal Reign is out Feb 6th It brings me GREAT joy to have my favorite writer gracing this blog with her presence. I am very happy to have her here with us! For those who don't know (under what rock to you hide?!) Morgan Rhodes is the author of the Falling Kingdoms series and the spin-off series the Books of Spirits and Thieves. I adore both series! In preparation for the last book in the Falling Kingdoms series, Immortal Reign (yes, I am heartbroken and might have to re-read this series at least once a year) I have been posting reviews of each of the books. If you scroll down the blog you will find reviews for books 1-3 last week and sometime next week I will post a review on book 4-5.  And then... then is release date for Immortal Reign (Feb 6th), I can't wait! The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco- 100 out of 5 Stars! [arc review]

My arc has a beautiful blue cover, but this is nice too! Hello sunnies 😎 I enjoyed The Bone witch... But I LOVED The Heart Forger! 💗 This book was nothing short of amazing. I expected it to be good, I did not expected it to rock my world. I finished reading it at about 2:30 am and then re-read all the quotes and passages I marked (I use Post-it flags, in case you wondering). It was THAT good!  Here is the Blurb (GoodReads): In The Bone Witch, Tea mastered resurrection―now she's after revenge... No one knows death like Tea. A bone witch who can resurrect the dead, she has the power to take life...and return it. And she is done with her self-imposed exile. Her heart is set on vengeance, and she now possesses all she needs to command the mighty daeva. With the help of these terrifying beasts, she can finally enact revenge against the royals who wronged her―and took the life of her one true love. But there are those who plot against her, those who would use Tea's dark

One is a Promise by Pam Godwin 2.5/5 Stars

I don't really know what to say... I really liked the story-line and the book was very well written. When it ended -well, when I thought it should have ended- it was perfect. The perfect HEA (happily ever after). Trace was perfection! I love bad boys (in books) and he was the best arrogant, rude, self centered bad boy there is. Hot hot hot 😃 He also loved intensively and passionately. He helped her move on, he helped her let go of her dead fiance. Most importantly, he did not push. He wanted her, but he never pushed. He waited till she was ready. He was pure perfection!  But then... then the author messed it all up in the last 5 or so pages. I HATED the ending. Because of the book blurb I knew it was coming (I removed the last lines from the blurb for you guys since it is a massive spoiler), but that didn't make it any less surprising and infuriating.  It always amazes me how a 5 star book can turn into something you never want to read again because of the last

Gathering Darkness (Falling Kingdoms #3) by Morgan Rhodes- 5/5

Hello sunnies 🌞 As most of you guys know, I am taking part of a blog tour showcasing The Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes. My last two posts (skip the Sunday blogger guest post) have reviews for books one and two in the series, today we have book three, Gathering Darkness! We will soon also have a guest post from the author, she will tell us her inspiration for my bae- Magnus Damora! I think this is my favorite book in the series so far, it definitely has some of my favorite quotes and things really do pick up here too. All our now well known characters are in search of the kindred, and whoever gets it is set to take control over Mytica.  Magnus needs to decide what is more important to him: pleasing his father or fighting for justice to all. Everyone he loves has turned their back on him, betrayed him, and he is one very hurt boy.  New players have joined the hunt for the kindred, the Kraeshians Ashur and Amara. The second, Amara, has become one of
